Agali beach is located at the picturesque bay of Vathy. It is considered to be one of the best family beaches in Folegandros. It is a quiet unorganized sandy beach with emerald waters ideal for swimming and sunbathing. Although the beach is affected by summer north winds, the waters are calm. For shade there are few spots under the high rocks. Some taverns as well as some rooms to let and a hotel can be found a few meters away from the beach for those wishing to spend a few days in the area.
Agios Georgios beach of is set within a natural cove with emerald waters, at the northern part of the island. Attracts many visitors throughout the summer months. It is small secluded beach ideal for swimming and sunbathing when not affected by summer north winds. Some tamarisk trees offer shade to the bathers who should bring along all provisions necessary since the beach is totally unorganized. It can be reached on foot from Ano Meria or by scooters and cars.
Nestled in the scenic landscape of the area, the sandy beach of Agios Nikolaos was named after the small church built on top of a hill right by the beach. Situated at approximately 20 minutes distance from Agali, the beach of Agios Nikolaos is only accessible on foot or by excursion boats, since no road of any kind leads there. Some tamarisks provide shade to bathers and there is also one tavern serving fresh fish and grilled meat a few meters away.
Abeli beach is located in the northwestern coast of Folegandros is a remote secluded beach for those seeking tranquility and peacefulness. Among the precipitous rocks and the crystal clear waters visitors can enjoy the pristine beauty and the stunning sunset in the late afternoon hours. The beach of Ambeli is completely unorganized therefore bathers should arrange to bring along all the necessities required. Access is only possible by private boats or on foot from Agios Panteleimonas at Ano Meria.
Chochlidia beach is a beautiful pebbled beach with emerald waters situated in the picturesque settlement of Karavostasis. The sandy seabed and the swallow waters among downed trees make this beach an ideal choice for families with small children. Children can also attend swimming and sailing courses here during summer months. The beach is lined with coastal hotels, bars and taverns.
Fira beach is located at the south of Agali settlement and you can visit it taking the path from Agali beach (15’ walk). It is an isolated beach, protected from the winds, with clear waters.
Galyfos beach is another small but popular beach due to its protection from the north winds. It is accessible through a footpath 10’ walk from Agali.
Katergo beach is in the southern part of Folegandros island. Many articles include Katergo beach among the most beautiful not only in Greece but in the whole world. You'll have a chance to swim in striking aquamarine waters, surrounded by rocks and the wild beauty of the island. You can reach Katergo beach either by boat from Karavostasis, or on foot, following a relatively steep path from Livadi settlement.
Latinaki beach is a beautiful secluded beach with gold sand and crystalline waters embraced by the scenic environment.
Ligaria beach is located on the northern side of Folegandros and there is access along a dirt road that leads to Aghios Georgios beach. A sandy beach but with pebbles, it is not organised and there is no shade.
Livadaki beach is located on the southwest side of the island. The beach combines sand with wide rocks and cool crystal clear turquoise waters. The access to the beach is 15-20 minutes by boat from Agali beach or 45-60 minutes walking from Ano Meria.
Livadi beach is a sandy beach with turquoise waters, ideal for sunbathing, beach fun and water sports. Tamarisk trees offer shade to bathers and it is preferred by young people that enjoy water sports activities and games on the beach.
Pountaki beach is similar to Latinaki and Vitsentou beaches. Is also endowed with serene seclusion and calmness and boast beautiful views to the surrounding islands.
Vardia beach is located behind Karavostasis' harbor. Is easy to access, is sandy and has crystal clear water. The comfortable sand in combination with the available spots for shade, offer the ideal conditions for beach games and relaxing.
Vitsentzou beach is fringed by rocks for those who seek privacy. The access is via a path next to the main road. It is an ideal beach when blowing south winds.
Vorina beach is located in a unique bay with crystal clear waters and fine pebbles surrounded by green stone hills. The beach offers no facilities therefore provisions should be arranged. Vorina beach can be reached by private boat or by foot following the route from Chora (Myloi) to Ano Meria.
The settlement is located 4 klm away from Chora in the picturesque Vathi Bay and it can be reached by motorbike, car or the local bus.
The second largest settlement in Folegandros is built on the north-western edge of the island, covering an area 3 kilometres long.
The traditional settlement of Chora is built at an altitude of around 200 metres from sea level, and is 3.4 kilometres away from Karavostasis.

The Lighthouse was built in 1919, at an altitude of 58 m. from sea level; the actual light is at a height of 11 m. Its light is visible at a distance of 17 n.m.
Castro is the oldest part of Chora. It is a medieval settlement built to protect the island’s inhabitants. It has been inhabited continuously.
Chrysospilia is a unique natural monument. It is a remote cave on the north-eastern side of the island, about 30 metres above sea level.
The Ecomuseum at Ano Meria, Folegandros, was opened in the summer of 1988. It presents the way of life of a rural homestead in days gone by.
Located in the southeast, near Karavostasis but is only accessible by sea. You can visit by boat in route to Katergo beach.
The largest church on Folegandros, dedicated to the Dormition of the Virgin Mary. It is built on a rock above Chora village.
