The below mentioned terms and operating rules determine the use of the website www.folegandros-travel.gr (hereinafter called the website) and the services provided by the website and operates under the laws of Greece.
Any further use and browsing assumes that you are aware of, and understand the operating conditions, and implies full and unreserved acceptance of the stated terms and conditions and you are bound by them unreservedly, without exception. If you do not agree with them, please do not use this website.
The Company reserves the right to unilaterally amend or renew the terms of use from time to time. For any changes, additions or deletions you shall be informed through their posting on the website.
The changes will come into immediate effect, following the posting on the website without prior notice. If you do not want to admit new terms and rules, you will have to stop using the website. If you continue to use the website after the date on which the changes have been implemented, the use of the website indicates your agreement to be bound by the new terms and rules of use.
By completing the relevant fields of the special booking forms or pre-booking forms through the website, e.g. for reservation made through our online platform, but also for any other reservation (by phone or reservation made at the company), you give us clear mandate to mediate in providing the travel or other services of your choice, which is offered by the supplier.
You are hereby advised that you are responsible for compliance with the terms and conditions set forth by each supplier / provider, e.g. the conditions imposed by each ferry company about their commercial & cancellation policy or any kind of ticket/booking change.
In case of short notice for changes of any service on behalf of the service provider you have selected (e.g. in case of cancellation of a ship’s departure), our company will endeavor to contact you by phone or email, by using the contact details which you have provided to us, and inform you, if we have received prior timely notice by the relevant service provider / supplier in this respect. For delays and cancellations of travel / tourism services and products offered by any third party service provider /supplier, our company bears no responsibility.
If you violate the Terms of Use of the website, our Company has the right to reject orders concerning your reservations.
We reserve the right to ask you to furnish us with further evidence in order to identify you or your credit card, until the final version of the ticket or the finalization of the booking for other services has been effected. Our Company is not required to send you the tickets or the reservation numbers of your booking until full payment has been received.
Upon completion of your payment through our website you will receive confirmation of booking & purchase via e – mail. Please check the correctness of information data therein and in case of any errors or discrepancies in the booking data, please contact our company as soon as possible (preferably within the same day).
The ferry tickets reservation number is sent to the client by e-mail which must be shown at the relevant ticket office (i.e. kiosk/desk of the ferry company) which is situated at the departure gate of the port, in order to collect your tickets in a printed official form. The collection of the tickets must be done the latest one hour prior to the scheduled departure time and it is necessary for boarding the ship.
The ferry reservations and e-tickets are stored in the ferry company’s IT systems. Following the booking confirmation which you will receive by e-mail as afore mentioned, you will receive a second e-mail from the bank showing the details of the transaction carried out with your credit card or debit card or prepaid card. If you do not receive any of the above mentioned e-mails please contact us directly. Your name in the reservation system, should match the name of identity / passport, otherwise your embarkation may not be allowed.
The possibility to change or cancel a ferry ticket or other product or service and the conditions governing such a change or cancellation, depends on the terms and conditions set forth by the relevant service provider /supplier, i.e. a ferry operator or another provider. Our Company bears no responsibility for the terms and conditions set forth by the thirs party service providers / suppliers. Please read carefully the fare rules (i.e.commercial & cancellation policy of ferry companies) and other relevant restrictions and conditions prior to booking.
Any costs that may arise in case of change or cancellation of a ticket or other travel / tourism service is payable by the client.
For bookings of travel and other services offered via our website, the payment is made via credit cards, debit cards or prepaid cards Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express, Diners through secure payment transactions.
The credit cards, debit cards or prepaid cards of the visitor / user for the payment of services of the Company is charged only once and only for the specific transaction. The credit/debit/prepaid card’s details are not recorded and cannot be used for any other purpose.

In any event, the Company reserves the right to change the terms of protection of personal data, subject to informing in advance, the website’s visitors / users and within the existing or potential new legal framework. For registration of the visitor / user to mailing lists of the Prospectus (newsletters) the Company may request the following information: Name / company name – E-mail. The Company may maintain a file of e-mail addresses for sending information messages beyond the Newsletters unless the recipient does not agree to this kind of communication. The information shall not be disclosed to third parties. The recipient of the Newsletters can be deleted from the list of the electronic addresses as long as he/she notifies us by e-mail. The Company may delete from its e-mailing list any recipient at its sole discretion.
The Company may use cookies to identify visitors / users of certain services of the Company’s website (e.g. newsletters). The cookies are small text files stored on the hard disk of the visitor / user without copying any document or file from his computer. They are used to facilitate the visitor / user with regard to the use of specific services of the Company, for statistical purposes in order to determine the areas in which the services of the Company are useful or popular or for marketing. The visitor / user of the site may set his browser in such a way so as to warn about the use of cookies in specific services of the Company or to refuse to accept the use of cookies. If the visitor / user of the services of the Company’s website does not accept the use of cookies, he/she will not have access to these services.
The Company’s website contains links (“links”) to other websites which are not controlled by us but by third parties (natural or legal entities). Under no circumstances the Company is responsible for the Terms of Protection of Personal Data that these third parties may apply.
The Company treats all personal information as confidential and does not transfer it to any third party (natural or legal person) for no reason with the exception of the relevant provisions of law and to the relevant authorities. The Company may maintain files with the personal data provided by the visitor / user of the website for reasons of communication, economic and tax. Visitors / users of the website who are younger than 18 years of age may have access to the services of the Company subject to the prior consent of their parents or guardians. The Company may process some or all of the data you have dispatched for statistical, economic, marketing or reasons such as for improvement of the services provided in this website. The Company reserves the right to modify the above terms without prior notice.
According to the policy of all ferry companies, in order to cancel ferry tickets, we must hold them at hand, as the tickets need to be returned to the ferry company in order to be refunded. Our company will not proceed to any cancellation or amendment without having the tickets. If tickets are sent back to our offices for cancellation, the amount returned will be according to the cancellation policy of the ferry company on the day that we receive them. In case the passenger requests a ticket cancellation, the service fee is not refundable. Additionally, a 5-euro cancellation fee will be deducted from the refundable amount that the passenger is entitled to, according to the ferry company’s cancellation policy. Cancellations and amendments can not be made over the phone. They need to be requested in written via email. We must be notified at least 5 working days prior to departure date otherwise we are not responsible if the cancellation/amendment is not possible due to lack of time. In case you wish to amend ferry tickets that have already been issued, there is a charge of 12.30 euros per reservation and we must be notified in written form (via e-mail) at least 5 working days prior to departure date. The payment of 12.30 euros must also be completed at least 5 working days before departure date and in case this is not possible for any technical reason, we should be notified in time in order to suggest an alternative solution. Our company will not be held responsible if the amendment is not completed due to receiving the payment too late or due to not being informed about the payment by email in time. You can only amend tickets of a ferry company to another date tickets for the same ferry company and only if there is availability for the desired itinerary. You are able to amend the tickets also at any central office of the ferry company at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure time. In order for our company to proceed to an amendment or cancellation, we must hold at hand the original tickets. Our company is also not responsible if the amended tickets will not reach you on time due to any reason, such as delay in the courier service, lost tickets at hotel etc. In case of a cancelled itinerary, our company is not responsible for any further refund apart from the ferry ticket rate. This rate will be refunded only once we receive the unused tickets. In case the tickets are prepaid and have not been printed, the passenger has to inform our company via email in order to cancel the tickets. This is not done automatically.In case a ticket is cancelled, either after the client’s decision or because of a problem in the ticket, our company is not responsible if the exchange currency has changed and the client is refunded with less or more money.
In case you wish to cancel ferry tickets that have already been issued, you will be refunded according to the ferry company’s cancellation policy.
In case a passenger requests ticket cancellation and these tickets have been sent out by courier, then the courier fee is not refundable. Also, when asking for cancellation, the passenger must send us back the issued tickets. If we do not have the tickets at hand, the ferry company will not refund for these tickets. Shipment expenses for sending us back the tickets are covered by the passenger.
In no case are the service fees paid refundable.In case of loss or destruction of the envelope containing the ferry tickets by the courier company, the refund is approximately 70 euros and not the total ticket value. This is according to the worldwide terms and conditions of all courier companies and no further refund will be made by our company. The credit card used for the payment must always belong to one of the passengers. In case the credit card of a third person is used, we will ask for the ID proof of the cardholder and a written confirmation that the cardholder accepts the charge.
Our company is entitled to require users to provide any personal data and information (e.g. copy of an ID card or passport or driving license, certificate of home address, etc), when this is considered necessary in order to prevent fraud transactions and to secure that the user of our services is the legal owner of the credit card used. These personal data are used only for security reasons and they are deleted afterwards. We will never use your personal data for malicious reasons or reveal them to any third party.
Our company reserves the right to cancel any booking if the user fails to provide the requested documentation within the timeframe required. In rare cases a small fee of 0.5 up to 1 euro per ticket may be charged by the representative agency of the ferry company for picking up prepaid tickets.

The ticket is issued in the passenger’s name, it is personal and non-transferable. It is valid only for the class and the trip for which the ticket has been issued. The fare does not include catering. Passengers should be at the embarkation area of the ship one (1) hour before departure. If the passenger is not in time for sailing, s/he is not entitled to a ticket refund. In case of cancellation, passengers are entitled 50% refund if they cancel their reservation before departure. Children up to 4 years old travel free of charge and they are not entitled to bed, while children over 4 and up to 10 years old pay a reduced fare and they are entitled to bed. The holder of a full ticket is allowed to carry free of charge luggage up to 40 kilos or 1 cubic meter. In case of ticket loss, the ticket can not be replaced and the fare can not be refunded. The shipping company is not responsible for any damage or loss of the passenger’s luggage that is under the personal care of him/her during the trip. Jewelry, money and valuable objects can be delivered to the ship’s accounting office for safekeeping. The shipping company will not be responsible for any delay in sailing, deviation and not keeping normal route, due to bad weather conditions or after orders of the Ministry of Mercantile Marine or the Harbor Authorities or due to force major. It is forbidden to passengers to carry explosives, inflammable, incendiary and other dangerous materials. The passengers are responsible for keeping the Harbor, Sanitary and Custom regulations. The passengers should comply with the captain’s and the crew orders regarding the maintenance of order and safety on the ship. The passenger should address any complaint during the trip to the ship’s captain or first mate and, after arrival, to the shipping company or the Harbor Authorities. If for any reason the trip is canceled due to the ship’s responsibility, the fare is refunded without any further obligation of the shipping company towards the passenger. The shipping company has the right, after approval of the Ministry of Mercantile Marine, to replace the vessel for which the ticket was issued with another vessel.

The drivers have to load and unload the vehicle themselves. The vehicles should be at the port one (1) hour before departure and, in any case, on the time prescribed by the Port Regulation in force. The driver is not entitled to a refund of the fare if s/he is not in time for sailing. In case of loss of vehicle transport receipt, the fare is not refunded. Passengers have to get out of their vehicles before their shipment aboard. The passengers should carry with them any objects they might need during the trip. After sailing, the entrance to the garage is forbidden. The transportation of explosives, incendiary and other dangerous material is forbidden. The priority order is determined by the Port Regulations of each Harbor Authorities, where the vehicle is shipped.
